Just wanted to update you guys on some exciting stories that have come out! Take a look:

BEST GOWN OF 2011
(http://thepageantplanet.com/blog/the-top-10-pageant-evening-gowns-of-2011.html)

I just found out I won best gown of 2011 per The Pageant Planet blog!! (www.ThePageantPlanet.com).
The baby pink gown I wore was a Sherri Hill styled by La Casa Hermosa.
You know how they say things happen for a reason, well I have (a now) funny story about the gown... I actually got it the night before competition!! I was having another gown made. It was not completed in time so frantically the week of the Miss Maryland USA 2012 competition, I called Robin Flemming from La Casa Hermosa and we agreed on the Sherri Hill I won in! It was a wild ride that now makes for a good story for as most of you know, girls usually get their gowns months in advance!
Thank you Pageant Planet for this wonderful honor! Thank you to Sherri Hill for your design! and a big thank you to La Casa Hermosa for stepping in last minute!

All the donations will be shipped to our many medical, community, educational and agricultural projects in now 5 countries of Southern Africa. We are looking for holiday donations to help offset shipping costs! To help out please visit the Meriwether Foundation facebook page(http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/MERIWETHER-FOUNDATION/135384349821483) and click "Give Now" or contact us at Missons@MeriwetherFoundation.org. Liz Corah, a sponsor of the Miss Maryland USA pageant(she has a dance fitness studio where I'll be getting my butt in shape come Miss USA: http://www.studio-310.com/), blogged about her experience watching the Miss Maryland USA 2012 pageant. I love how empowerng her words are. It reminds me of a post I did a while back about "Why I do Pageants???"
